About

Funtime Games UK offer daily moderated play sessions on a safe and inclusive dedicated Minecraft server for children with diverse needs. We give young people a unique space to socialise and make new friends, develop their creativity, and improve their confidence and self-esteem.

We thrive by following our passions!

Funtime Games provides a platform for online gaming utilising Minecraft Bedrock. With two dedicated servers, young people can engage in playing, building, and having fun together.

The Creative server offers various mini games like build battle, zombie run, sardines, and more, as well as creative building events for young people to explore their interests.

Our Quiet server provides a peaceful space for up to 4 members, with an online moderator to facilitate play. These are our small group sessions. Whether it's participating in exciting games or enjoying a quieter gaming experience, Funtime Games aims to create a fun and engaging environment for young gamers.

Our Story

Melanie Cossins is a mum of two neurodivergent children who noticed the effect the pandemic was having on their mental health and in particular their sudden lack of social interaction. Minecraft is a special interest for both, so together with her teenage daughter, they decided to create a Minecraft server to enable young people to form new friendships and socialise online. They designed activities that young people could play individually, in pairs, teams and groups and invited a few children to join through neurodivergent and home-educating Facebook groups.

The Funtime Games server has been running since October 2020. The idea was to bring young people together to make new friends, encourage creativity, develop relationships and communication, and create a safe space, through the Covid-19 pandemic. Melanie, joint CEO of Think Cre8tive Group, felt the project would fit nicely under the company’s ethos of using Arts and creativity for health and wellbeing.

Our decision in 2024 was to create a new CIC dedicated to neurodivergent young people and Funtime Games. NeuroHive CIC was born.
